LACO Machinery, established in 1994, was founded by the Family Lapauw.

Milestones

• 1994 LACO Machinery produced it's first single roll 500mm diameter ironer at it's current site in Kuurne Belgium.
• 1998 the range was expanded with the smaller 370mm diameter.
• 2000 An automated ironer with feeder, folder, cross-folder and stacker was presented at the Texcare show in Frankfurt. The machine was developped in 500 and the new 600 and 800 diameters. The COMFORT was born.
• In 2009 the company was commercially split from it's sister company, Lapauw International, and started implementing it's own commercial policies. Also that year a second generation Lapauw, Thibault, the son of Dominique joined the LACO management team.
• Since 2010 Dominique Lapauw has taken complete control and ownership of the company.
• In 2011 LACO Machinery intends to invest in its Kuurne location by adding 200m² office space and 1200m² production facility.

Company Philosophy

LACO Machinery was established with the specific goal to provide chest ironers to small to medium size industrial laundries and OPL's such as hotels, nursing homes and hospitals with the high end high efficiency technology already apllied in the large industrial laundries. Namely the chest ironer.

LACO Machinery developped and patented the truly flexible single shell chest for gas and electro-heated ironers. LACO machinery was the first manufacturer to use this technology in combination with the high efficiency thermal oil pumps in self contained ironers. The super flexible chest was quickly recognized as a new standard of high quality ironing for smaller applications such as boutique hotels and up to 4 and 5 star hotels up to 400-500 rooms. Industrial laundries appreciate the efficiency and quality of LACO ironers on the smaller scale capacities 30-260kg/hour.
